Balaam’s Donkey is Still With Us Today!

Greetings everyone!

I had a wonderfully exciting message delivered to me recently! It began with my looking over a global map, surveying the shapes of today’s continental coastlines. I was trying to determine, out of curiosity, which piece of land in Africa was more than likely to have been connected to my home state of Florida before they split apart long, long ago. Eyeballing it for myself, it looked like the shape of the coast of Mauritania seemed to fit Florida perfectly.

Above map: line pointing to Florida and pointing to Mauritania to show how they once snugly fit with each other. You can also clearly see how all of Africa once snugly fit with the Americas. Image via Wikipedia Commons.

Mauritania is the “Islamic Republic of Mauritania” which is Africa’s 11th largest country. The country is reportedly a horrific source of Christian persecution, and from what I have read, that persecution is increasing as I type.

As I sat in awe over the obvious fact that the landscape of Florida is lush and green, while Mauritania sits in a desert – the Sahara desert, despite the fact that we are along the same latitude, I began again to ponder a passage in the Old Testament, which is a prophesy from Ezekiel – a passage of Scripture that I had already been pondering earlier in the day just after reading various reports in which scientists have discovered that the Sahara desert has only been a desert for maybe 5000-11000 years, and that it used to be lush. Say what????!!!!  The secular world would have all sorts of bar stool reasoning for this, but for those of us walking with Jesus Christ, we know better. And honestly, when scientists are toying with evidence that is possibly within only a a given number of millennia, no one is that good!  For all they know, the Sahara desert could have been lush and green just 2000-4000 years ago. Following is this passage from Ezekiel. Please note that Ethiopia, Libya, and Egypt are all in the Sahara desert, which, again, scientists have recently discovered was fertile some 5000-11,000 years ago. Chub might possibly have been in this desert region as well, but even though not conclusive from my research, we do know that by what Ezekiel prophesies, Chub was aligned with the nations of the Sahara desert.

Ezekiel 30:2-8 – Son of man, prophesy and say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Howl ye, Woe worth the day! For the day is near, even the day of the LORD is near, a cloudy day; it shall be the time of the heathen. And the sword shall come upon Egypt, and great pain shall be in Ethiopia, when the slain shall fall in Egypt, and they shall take away her multitude, and her foundations shall be broken down. Ethiopia, and Libya, and Lydia, and all the mingled people, and Chub, and the men of the land that is in league, shall fall with them by the sword. Thus saith the LORD; They also that uphold Egypt shall fall; and the pride of her power shall come down: from the tower of Syene shall they fall in it by the sword, saith the Lord GOD. And they shall be desolate in the midst of the countries that are desolate, and her cities shall be in the midst of the cities that are wasted. And they shall know that I am the LORD, when I have set a fire in Egypt, and when all her helpers shall be destroyed.

This is a very simple end of time message from our Holy Father on High – desolation to all not found in the Book of Life.

My next action was to see if I could find Mauritania (or whatever it used to possibly be called) in The Good Word. I went to the good old internet (so frequently not good) to see if I could find Mauritania in the Bible. The first place I found that gives information about the current state of affairs in Mauritania was an organization that helps persecuted Christians. At the top of their page was a photograph of a few donkeys hauling barrels of something, but at first glance, especially considering the topic of the web page (helping persecuted Christians), where my eyes focused in the middle of the crowded image, I thought I was looking at a man being persecuted.

For a moment, I thought I saw the back of a very tan man with his arms outstretched, with his head bent forward, and it looked like his forearms and hands had been removed. It turned out to simply be the head and face of a donkey! The “arms” were the donkey’s ears, the donkey’s frontal skull looks like the back and shoulders of a man, and even the dark, little tuft of hair on it’s head looks like the back of a man’s head. The eye area protrudes a little so it makes it look like the rib area of a man, and then down the muzzle of the donkey looks like the man’s lower back. There is another donkey in the picture on the right hand side, in whose face I can also see the back of a man with this arms outstretched and the back of his head slumped over to the left. These images make me think of Jesus Christ being crucified for us. Notice in the pictures below (the left and middle one) how the donkey has his eyes closed. I saw right away the pierce through the ribs of Jesus Christ!

Above Picture on left: the donkey on left hand side of the web page that I described

Above Picture on right: the same donkey but with my amateur outline overlaying it’s face to try to convey what I can see, including the pierce through the ribs and the slumped over head.

Above Picture: the donkey that was on the right hand side of the web page. Notice the tuft of hair, as to me it looks like a man’s head slumped over to the left.

I scoured the internet to find more donkey pictures and found many more pictures where the donkey is facing the camera at just the right angle and where the ears are positioned slightly downward to form the same image. You can see just a sampling of these images below. In my search for more donkey images, I also came across many horrible images of donkey’s being abused, tortured and murdered – whether it be by their cruel owners or by other evil doers. This world is just filled with so much evil. So much abominable evil. May God have mercy on all those that have showed no mercy on others, if it is His will. I simply wanted to give you this warning about what you may come across, should you choose to go looking for more donkey pictures. The internet is filled with all kinds of evil people doing evil things that WILL leave a permanent scar in your mind and will utterly break your heart. But praise God that it is also filled with many that seek truth and love.

So far we’ve gone from the topic of the separation of the continents to evidence of the Sahara desert being once lush and green (and not that long ago, relatively speaking), to the prophecy of Ezekiel that shows us what happened to Northern Africa, to what looks like the crucifixion of Jesus Christ being found on the face of a donkey. At this point, I now start remembering the story of Balaam’s donkey from The Old Testament in The Book of Numbers, Chapter 22. That donkey kept trying to warn the transgressing prophet about the angel that was directly in front of him, but the man would not heed the warning and kept beating the donkey. As I’m clicking through the donkey pictures, thinking of Balaam’s donkey, of all things, I discover that donkeys have a pattern on their backs that is shaped like a cross! Praise God in the name of Jesus Christ! That just did it! Now, I’m usually the last one to get to the finish line and quite often I am a “day late and a dollar short,” so most of you probably already know that donkeys all have a cross on their backs. But when I add up all the factors involved in this flow of events that took place just a couple of days prior to me writing this article, I cannot help but see that this is a definite sign from God!

What is the sign?” you ask. Simple. Balaam’s donkey is still here in a divine parabolic form trying to warn mankind of something that is right in front of us, but that most cannot see, and to our peril, many of us will march to the beat of our own tune, so desperately wanting and lusting after the things of this world, just as Balaam continued to beat his donkey – so desperately wanting and lusting for the riches promised to him from King Balak. He even threatened to kill the donkey even after God made the donkey actually speak aloud with human words to warn him. The deception is very great! It is very blinding! For many, the Way, the Truth, and the Life will be completely obliterated from them forever. God will make many utterly desolate, just as The Good Word tells us He did with those of the Sahara desert, because of all their abominations. Many will not make it to the first resurrection, so there will be no wedding supper for them. Because of their want and desire for this world, which is the image of satan, the whore of Babylon, and because of the whore’s use of trickery and deception through the shiny goodly things of this world (amongst others things used by way of the spirit of false prophecy and the spirit of the anti-christ), many, including many from the church, will be in bed, and have already been in bed, with the whore of Babylon.

“For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.  For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.”  – Romans 8:5-6

“For whosoever hath, to him shall be given, and he shall have more abundance: but whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken away even that he hath.” – Matthew 13:12

“And the destruction of the transgressors and of the sinners shall be together, and they that forsake the LORD shall be consumed.” – Isaiah

Who is a transgressor but one who once was in The Word but chose instead to look back to the world. Many in the church might just very well not make it.

Balaam, the prophet of God, knew the Truth and He knew God, but as Jesus’ Parable of the Sower (found in the books Matthew, Mark, and Luke) shows us, praise God, many will lose The Word in different ways. Balaam lost The Word, because he let the riches and the shiny things of this world consume him. We most definitely cannot serve two different masters. We cannot serve materialism and God at the same time. Jesus Christ tells us in the Book of Revelation to repent. He tells US this – the church! He warns us to repent and to get out of the whore’s bed or he will remove our candlestick and it will be removed forever.

“Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent.” – Revelation 2:5

Is there something right in front of us that we are not seeing? Or possibly not hearing?

He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches .” – Jesus Christ, in His most precious and most dire warning to us, The Book of Revelation –which God gave unto Him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and He sent and signified it by His angel unto His servant John…”.
