“For whosoever hath, to him shall be given, and he shall have more abundance: but whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken away even that he hath.” Matthew 13:12
What does this verse mean to you? What understanding have you received from God with regards to this verse from The Word of God?
Before I continue, I would like to preface this article, just as I always do and always will, that we are ALL of the same flock – all those that have true Faith in Jesus Christ and follow the Commandments of God. Not one of us is greater than the next, and not one of us is greater than our Master. All that are in the Book of Life and that have the Holy Spirit dwelling within, can receive Biblical understanding from God. But only God knows which of us is truly of His flock. We can certainly “test the spirits” as God’s Good Word tells us to, so that we do not transgress, but we are only to long for fellowship with our brothers and sisters, and not to stand in fruitless quarrels or to point fingers. As I’ve stated in other articles and as I will continue to state, I only submit these articles because I feel compelled to. I do not think of myself as better than anyone and I KNOW that ALL my brothers and sisters in Christ can, and many do, receive understanding from God. None of us should stand in fruitless quarrels, but kindly and gently share with one another what we are learning by way of the Holy Spirit. These things that are shared with us from our brothers and sisters are to be kept in our pockets for future reference, if need be, but we are to only receive understanding and truth directly from God. Our main purpose is to point everyone to God – to Jesus Christ and to love and help one another.
OK, so back to the Matthew 13:12 verse. What does this verse mean to you? I kindly ask, what understanding have you received from God with regards to this verse from The Word of God? I will share with you right now what I think it means, praise be to God! I believe that it means that all those with eyes to spiritually see The Word and with ears to “hear what the Spirit is saying” will be given more of this gift, and those that have not received this gift or that have been careless with this gift, what little of it they may have even had, will be taken from them, and they will forever lose The Word and drown in the Great Flood of Deception that satan and his image has been casting down onto the church. The image of satan, I believe, is the Whore of Babylon, spoken about in the Book of Revelation, and so many in the Church are in the whore’s bed right now, lusting after the things of this world. The deception is so deep and so thick. Satan is no dummy. Satan is a fool with no understanding but he is no dummy and many of us, I believe, are drowning in his flood right now.
And let me kindly ask this – do you think this divine test that we are all in right now is about the unbelievers against the saved? Again, satan believes, but he has no understanding. Satan is so full of himself and so full of darkness, that he would rather be victor in darkness for one hour and bring down as many of us that he can, than live in blissful eternity with our beautiful, loving, merciful, Holy Father in heaven. No, this divine test is not about the unbelievers against the saved. It’s about, I believe, much more than that. I personally believe that the church as it is and as it has been has helped satan create a multitude of unbelievers. So, if it’s only about the unbelievers against the saved, and it is and has been many in the church that have helped create these unbelievers, what a conundrum that is, huh? Why do I believe this? Because there are a great many in the church today that are not truly walking with God and that are not asking Him directly for understanding of His Good Word. Most of us are lukewarm and there are many of us that are desperately seeking “rewards from men.” The Book of Isaiah clearly tells us that “the transgressors will go down with the sinners,” so if this is true, then the divine test we are in right now is not about unbelievers against those that are saved – it’s about unbelievers AND transgressors (those that are completely blind and those that believe but that cannot help but be consumed with this world.)
The only way to God is through Jesus Christ! All those that call themselves Christians know this, right? Well, the Book of Revelation tells us that the name of Jesus Christ is The Word of God. So then, the only way to God is through The Word of God. And if satan knows scripture, do you think he is saved? No, we must receive understanding of Scripture directly from God.
Let’s take a look at the other verses God gives us in Matthew 13:
10And the disciples came, and said unto Him, why speakest thou unto them in parables?
11He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given.
12For whosoever hath, to him shall be given, and he shall have more abundance: but whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken away even that he hath.
13Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand.
14And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Esaias, which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and shall not perceive:
15For this people’s heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.
16But blessed are your eyes, for they see: and your ears, for they hear.
17For verily I say unto you, That many prophets and righteous men have desired to see those things which ye see, and have not seen them; and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard them.
Now, many think that in these verses, Jesus Christ is saying to us that all that proclaim they are saved will understand God’s Good Word, and so we have many of us leaning on our own understanding and that of other men, creating our own denominations and pitting ourselves against our brothers and sisters in Christ. No, many that proclaim to be saved, are not. I am by no means going to point fingers at anyone, and pass judgement. No, no, no. That honor is for God. But why do we have so many denominations? Why can’t we all be under one spiritual roof, loving one another, and agreeing to disagree on some things? Because satan has infiltrated our earthly man made buildings.
11And the beast that was, and is not, even he is the eighth, and is of the seven, and goeth into perdition. – Revelation 17:11
You’ll see at the beginning of The Book of Revelation, that Jesus Christ is relaying His divine message to John, through an angel, to give to 7 churches. Many think that these 7 churches are simply from the past, but this is not so. Upon reading these passages, you will clearly see the surface message that Jesus Christ warns the majority of the “Christians” in these churches to repent or He will remove their candlestick. He also warns many of them that He WILL throw them into Great Tribulation if they do not repent. Read for yourself and ask God for understanding, and if God grants you understanding, be sure to give Him praise, thanks, and glory always for this understanding. I believe these churches are all of us and Jesus Christ is sending us all a dire warning. The Revelation 17:11 verse means that satan is a part of the 7 spiritual churches and he will be the 8th, the 8th evil church that God will throw down after the 1000 year reign. I will elaborate more on this topic in another article. Again, I share all these things in loving fellowship and for food for thought. Please always go to God to receive direct understanding. So, if satan is apart of our church, that must mean that we are infected and many are being deceived.
15 And the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away of the flood.
16 And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed up the flood which the dragon cast out of his mouth.
17 And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ. Revelation 12
Did you read that? The flood mentioned is satan’s flood of deception, which I believe is referring to his image, the whore of babylon, which sits on and in the church. The whore of babylon is spiritually symbolic, I believe as do many, for all the lusts of this world that entice all unbelievers and even many in the church, turning them into transgressors. Verse 16, I believe, means that those of us that are truly walking with Jesus Christ, and receiving direct Biblical understanding from God, having the faith in Jesus Christ, and following God’s Commandments will be and have been protected with the Seal of the Holy Spirit. Verse 17, I believe, is referring to what happens directly after the 1000 year reign, when satan is released a second time. Satan gathers all those outside the gates of the 1000 year reign and goes to make war with the saints, but God instantly annihilates them. We are ALL in the midst of an insurmountable flood of deception right now and the only way out of it IS through The Word of God. We must receive understanding directly from God in the name of Jesus Christ to unlock Scripture and we MUST give God praise, glory and thanks always for this understanding, remaining humble always and never pitting ourselves against anyone, always loving and caring for all.
The Parable of the Sower:
18Hear ye therefore the parable of the sower.
19When any one heareth the word of the kingdom, and understandeth it not, then cometh the wicked one, and catcheth away that which was sown in his heart. This is he which received seed by the way side.
20But he that received the seed into stony places, the same is he that heareth the word, and anon with joy receiveth it;
21Yet hath he not root in himself, but dureth for a while: for when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word, by and by he is offended.
22He also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful.
23But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it; which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.
The Parable of the Sower is to express to all of us in the church how easily it is for us to be deceived and have The Word taken away from us. Do you see that last verse, verse 23? “But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the Word, ‘AND’ understandeth it; which also beareth fruit…” When we receive The Word of God, we must also understand it. Verses 20 and 21 convey to us that many will gladly receive the Word of God and be joyous over it as long as we do not have to go through any tribulation. It reads that the minute this group of “Christians” goes through any amount of tribulation, they are offended by it and they turn their back on God. Verse 22 conveys to us that many “Christians” will have the Word choked out of them because they are lustful for the things of this World and they will not be fruitful.
“For whosoever hath, to him shall be given, and he shall have more abundance: but whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken away even that he hath.”
I believe, as do a good number of my brothers and sisters in Christ, that in order to grow in God’s Good Grace and to have His love perfected in us, we MUST receive understanding directly from HIM. Without His understanding, we will become transgressors and we will go down with the sinners, as God warns us through the prophet Isaiah. We will be easily deceived and lose our Faith. True faith can withstand an ax placed to our heads. True faith can withstand a gun pointed at our heads. True faith can withstand anything this world throws at us. Did not Jesus Christ tell us that we are no better than our Master? That means we should not necessarily have it any better than He did if we are staying on the straight and narrow path. I’m not saying that followers of Jesus Christ don’t get scared. We are only human. However, with the Holy Spirit, we ARE changed and we DO have a different way of looking at things. We should be watching and waiting for His return and always ready and expecting whatever this world can dish out, and to not be offended. The Rapture that so many believe in WILL happen! But, I believe, as do a good number of my brothers and sisters, that it will not happen until after a good number of us have gone through Great Tribulation (God’s Wrath), because God will be trying to wake us up to repent. Satan’s attack on us is his “flood of deception”. God’s Wrath is to wake us up from this deception, because He loves us.
We all need to awake from this flood of deception, and now! Now is the time for us to “make the way straight” for Jesus Christ’s return. For any of us not growing in God’s Good Grace because we are not receiving true understanding directly from Him, but rather, because we are seeking enlightenment from men and seeking rewards from men, He has told us that He WILL take any understanding away from us that we may have. But for those of us that are seeking the Truth and walking with Jesus Christ, He will continue to build upon our understanding, so that we can have God’s Love perfected in us and so that we can find ourselves at the 1st Resurrection.
Please feel free to reach out to me in the spirit of loving fellowship if you would like to have a kind and gentle dialogue about this topic, or if you would just like to chat about anything, or if you need a shoulder to cry on.
